Unlimited Potential’s 2008 Year End Figures Continue 7 Years of Success
August 3, 2009
Unlimited Potential, a Saratoga Springs based vocational rehabilitation center for mentally disabled adults, ended 2008 just as UP ended the previous 7 years, by placing more people in the competitive workforce and producing thousands of wood products and successfully handling hundreds of thousands of pieces of mail.
Unlimited Potential’s workshop produces wood products such as shrub covers and picnic tables and the mailing operation works with local businesses processing catalogs and promotional pieces and delivering the finished product to the Post Office.
In 2008 Unlimited Potential’s woodshop made over 1200 shrub covers, 80 picnic tables and nearly 50 Adirondack chairs. UP has expanded the woodshop product line and now offers hand painted Adirondack chairs for children and dolls, occasional tables and the newest addition, Saratoga tables.
In addition, the mailing center at Unlimited Potential processed over 200,000 pieces of mail for local businesses.
Unlimited Potential’s ultimate goal is to find work in the community for their clients. In 2008, Unlimited Potential placed 60 people in positions in the competitive workforce. The majority of these positions were entry level, giving the new employee an opportunity to gain valuable work experience.
