The Placement Counselor provides individualized career coaching and support throughout the job search process. This includes individualized assistance with job preparation and job development to meet the needs of the client. This may include: vocational testing and skills assessment, job readiness training, resume development, interview preparation and job coaching to assist in job retention.

Job Preparation

The process of preparing a client to enter or re-enter the workforce includes: vocational testing, job readiness training, resume development, practicing interviewing techniques, providing job development and offering pre-employment job coaching support.

Job Development

Job development is one of the most important steps in the process. Job development requires Unlimited Potential’s Placement Counselors to develop relationships with area employers so that UP knows the needs of area employers and area employers know that they can turn to Unlimited Potential when they have job openings. The Counselor assists in the application process and can accompany the client to the job interview and continue to provide support through the entire job search process.
